How might different cultures respond ethically, morally, politically to the pressures of modern industrial management? Clue: whe
Colt1911 [192]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Different cultures respond ethically, morally, and politically to the pressures of modern industrial management in that they try to protect and maintain its own traditions and customs despite globalization and the continuing demand of corporation to produce more and more, not taking into consideration the human factor, the damage to the environment, and the respect for other cultures idiosyncracies.

It seems that modern industrial management is only focused on producing more results; more income through the selling of products and services. But they try to do this at all costs. Not considering people's way of thinking, belief systems, local history and traditions, and the respect of their own customs.

That is why most of the time multinational companies are not so well accepted in other countries. They created jobs, although most of the time are workers low paid jobs with minimum benefits. Some of these companies enter the country with fiscal privileges and pay minimum taxes and does not take care of the environment, wasting many natural resources that are much needed by the local people.

Match each term to the correct definition or description. Terms may be used more than once.

1. Master status

2. Ascribed status

3. Achieved status

A. an involuntary status a voluntary status a status one earns or in some other way acquires

B. a status one is born into a status that dominates other people’s perceptions

Answer:

2. Ascribed Status = Involuntary Status

3. Achieved Status = Voluntary Status

Explanation:

Ascribed status is defined as a social status that is involuntary such that, one is given, naturally without an individual earning or chosen the status by him/herself, instead, it was assigned by birth. For example, Age, Sex, Race

Achieved Status on the other hand, is a social status characterised by its voluntary status, such that an individual earned the status by virtue of merit, and not that it was assigned to him or her. For example One's profession such as Medical Doctor, Lawyer, etc.

However, Master Status is the social status of an individual which can either be ascribed or achieved, such that it stands out or over ride others. It is a status that describes the characteristics of an individual such as Unemployment status, Marital status, Disability status etc.

while modern technology allows for almost instantaneous dissemination of information, some of its benefits for public relations
cupoosta [38]

Answer:

This is true.

Explanation:

While we all agree that the use of modern technology allows for almost instantaneous dissemination of information, yet some of its benefits for public relations practitioners are compromised by lack of time to manage certain kinds of information.

Public relations can play an important role in helping the organization build its brand, which is the collection of perceptions about the organization in the mind of the consumer.

Time constraint connected to the benefits of public relationship makes them to rush the process of collecting nice and quality perception about its organizarion from member of the society.

This hurry approach is a huge disadvantage as it makes the public relations officer lack adequate amount of time to analyse the data and disseminate the best or world standard service.
