Mathematics

okay so put the decimal over 1 like this:

0.285714/1 then multiply by 10 for every number after the decimal point so if there were 2 numbers it would be 100

so 0.285714 times 1,000,000 is 287,514 and 1 times 1,000,000 is 1,000,000

so 287,514/ 1,000,000

simplified: 142,857/500,000 is your answer.

storchak [24]

Answer:

The answer is a= 15

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you multiply both sides by 5. 5*3 = 15 and a/5*5 = a, since 5 and 5 cancels out each other. This is optional, then you flip the equation to get a= 15. Hope this helps.

G if v lies in the first quadrant and makes an angle π/3 with the positive x-axis and |v| = 8, find v in component form.
trasher [3.6K]
First, illustrate the problem into a diagram like the one shown in the attached picture. The component vectors are shown in red (y-component) and blue (x-component). Since this is a right triangle, let's apply the trigonometric functions of sine and cos.

y-component, vy:
sin (π/3) = vy/8
vy = 6.928

x-component, vx:
cos (π/3) = vx/8
vx = 4

which function has real zeros at x = −10 and x = −6? f(x) = x2 16x 60 f(x) = x2 − 16x 60 f(x) = x2 4x 60 f(x) = x2 − 4x 60
LiRa [457]

Answer:

Option A is correct

The function x^2+16x+60 has real zeroes at x =-10 and x =-6

Explanation:

Given: The real zeroes or roots are x = -10, and x = -6

To find the quadratic function of degree 2.

x^2- (\alpha+\beta)x + \alpha\beta =0 where α,β are real roots.   ....[1]

Here, α= -10  and β= -6

Sum of the roots:

α+β =  -10+(-6) = -10-6 = -16

Product of the roots:

αβ = (-10)(-6)= 60

Substitute these value in equation [1] we have;

x^2-(-16)x+60 = x^2+16x+60

Therefore, the quadratic function for the real roots at x =-10 and x =-6 ;

x^2+16x+60
