Answer:

The predicted number of plain bagels that will be sold next morning is:

                                              4

Step-by-step explanation:

One morning a bagel shop sold 3 plain bagels, 6 raisin bagels, and 6 sesame seed bagels.

This means that the total numbers of bagels that were sold are: 3+6+6=15 bagels.

Hence, the Probability of the plain bagels sold are:

i.e. P(plain bagels)=3/15=1/5

( Since, the probability is the ratio of the number of favorable outcomes to the total number of outcomes .

Number of plain bagels=3

and Total number of bagels= 15 )

If the shop sells 20 bagels the next morning.

Then the predicted number of the bagels will be plain are:

P(plain bagels)×20

=  (1/5)×20

=  4  plain bagels

Hence, the answer is: 4

you cant really predict how many bagels will be sold the next morning because of different scenarios but mathematically speaking if you compare plain bagels to total bagels you get 3/15 so if you multiply the denominator by 1 1/4 to get twenty as the denominator then you have to do the same to the numerator to get a fraction of 3.75/20 or roughly 3-4 plain bagels sold

the same type of television is being sold at two different stores. store A is selling the television for $800, which is $120 mor
svlad2 [7]

Answer: the selling price of the television at store B is $1360

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming the selling price of the television at store B is represented by $B. Store A is selling the television for $800, which is $120 more than half the cost of the television at store B. The equation representing this situation is expressed as

800 = B/2 + 120

Multiplying the left hand side and the right hand side of the equation by 2, it becomes

1600 = B + 240

B = 1600 - 240

B = $1360
