Addition of base into the water increase hydronium ion concentration of the solution is a false statement other 4 are correct.

Explanation:

  • An acid is referred to as substance that is denoting hydrogen ion.  A base is referred to as a substance that is accepting hydrogen ions.
  • Certain examples of acids are sulphuric acid, citric acid and certain examples of bases are ammonia as well as bleach.
  • The difference that occur between the acid and the base is due to its pH. Acids have the ability to neutralize the base.

In a reversible reaction, chemical equilibrium is attained when the (A) rate of the forward reaction is greater than the rate of
zepelin [54]

Answer:  (D) concentration of the products remains constant.

Explanation:

The reactions which do not go on completion and in which the reactant forms product and the products goes back to the reactants simultaneously are known as equilibrium reactions.

For a chemical equilibrium reaction, equilibrium state is achieved when the rate of forward reaction becomes equals to rate of the backward reaction.Equilibrium state is the state when reactants and products are present but the concentrations does not change with time.

Thus at chemical equilibrium, the amount of product and reactant remains constant because the rates of the forward and reverse reactions are equal.

A chemical equilibrium is dynamic in nature forward and backward reactions continue for indefinite time and never stops.

How many grams of O2(g) are needed to completely burn 46.0 g C3H8(g)?
Veronika [31]

Answer:

167,3 grams of O2 (g)

Explanation:

According to the following balanced equation:

C3H8 + 5 02 ---> 3 CO2 + 4 H20

We calculate the mass of the moles:

5 mol O2 = 16grams/mol x2x 5= 160 grams/mol

1 mol C3H8= 3 x12 grams/mol + 8 x 1 gram/mol= 44 grams/mol

If 44 grams C3H8 react with--------- 160 grams O2

46 gramsC3H8 react with    --------X = (46x160)/44 =167, 3 grams O2
