X + 11 + 8x = 29. We need to solve for x.
First, on the left side, you have "x" and "8x": You can always add 2 numbers with the same variable, so you have 1 number: x + 8x = 1x + 8x = (1+8)x = 9x

So we get:
9x + 11 = 29

Now subtract 11 from both sides (You can't do any operation if you don't do it both sides), so you can get the variable alone on the left side, and the numbers on the right side:
9x + 11 = 29
9x + 11 - 11 = 29 - 11
9x = 18

Now divide both sides by 9, so you can transform the coefficient of x to one, and have the numeric value of x on the right side:
9x = 18
(9x)/9 = 18/9
x = 2

So x+11+8x = 29 for x = 2.

You can recheck your answer (very important):
x + 11 + 8x = 2 + 11 + 8*2 = 2 + 11 + 16 = 13 + 16 = 29
The answer has been approved.

Hope this Helps! :)

Your answer will be 2.5. see when you write the the equation you always want to keep the x positive so you will subtract x from 8x to get 7x. then you will take 11 x and subtract it from 29 leading it to be 18. then you want to get the x by itself so you will take 7x divided by 7 and 18 divided by 7 and you'll get x=2.5. Hoped it helped!!

A sporting goods store sells right-handed and left-handed baseball gloves. In one month, 12 gloves were sold for a total revenue
stepladder [879]

Answer:

9 right-handed gloves and 3 left-handed gloves were sold.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:  In one month, 12 gloves were sold for a total revenue of \$561.

            right-handed gloves cost \$45 and left-handed gloves cost \$52.

To find: How much of each type of gloves did they sell?

Solution: Let they sell x  right-handed gloves, and y left-handed gloves.

Now, cost of each right-handed gloves =\$45

cost of each left-handed gloves =\$52

Total revenue =\$561

So, we get

45x+52y=561\:\:\:...(i)

Also,  in a month 12 gloves were sold.

So, we get

x+y=12\:\:\:...(ii)

Now, from (ii) we get, x=12-y.

Putting x=12-y in equation (i), we get

45(12-y)+52y=561

\implies 540-45y+52y=561

\implies7y=561-540

\implies7y=21

\implies y=\frac{21}{7}

\implies y=3

Now, putting y=3 in equation (ii), we get

x+3=12

\implies x=12-3

\implies x=9

Hence, 9 right-handed gloves and 3 left-handed gloves were sold.

Solve for g.<br> 3 =g/-4-5
Leviafan [203]
<h2>g = -27</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

3 =  \frac{g}{ - 4 - 5}

Simplify

- 4 - 5 =  - 9 \\  \\ 3 =  \frac{g}{ - 9}

Cross Multiply

3 \times  - 9 = g \\  - 27 = g \\ g =  - 27

Please help, if u get it right i will give u brainliest
padilas [110]

Answer:

2.27%

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets start by making the names letters, J C and A respectively.

The total is 44 dollars. J paid 34%, which would be 14.96. He pays a total of $15. C paid 50%, which is 22 dollars. A pays 17%, which would be 7.48. She pays a total of $8.

15 + 8 + 22 = $45, meaning they paid an extra 1 dollar. One dollar is 1/44th of $44, or 2.27%.

Note: 2.27% is 2.272727272727 repeated, do what you will with that information, every site is different.

Based on the information below, what are the values of x and y of the solution to the system of equations used to create the inf
Alborosie

Answer:

Option D) is correct

That is x=2 , y=-5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the |A|=\left| \begin{array}{cc}4&-6\\ 8&-2\end{array}\right|, \left|A_x\right|=\left|\begin{array}{cc}38&-6\\ 28&-2\end{array}\right|, \left|A_y\right|=\left|\begin{array}{cc}4&38\\ 8&26\end{array}\right|

To find their determinants

|A|=\left| \begin{array}{cc}4&-6\\ 8&-2\end{array}\right|

=-8+48

=40

Therefore |A|=40

|A_x|=\left|\begin{array}{cc}38&-6\\ 28&-2\end{array}\right|

=-76+156

=80

Therefore |A_x|=80

|A_y|=\left|\begin{array}{cc}4&38\\ 8&26\end{array}\right|

=104-304

=-200

Therefore |A_y|=-200

To find the values of x and y:

x=\frac{|A_x|}{|A|}\ \textrm{and}\ y=\frac{|A_y|}{|A|}

x=\frac{80}{40} and y=\frac{-200}{40}

x=2 and y=-5

Option D) is correct

That is x=2 , y=-5
