If the problem want rational coefficient, then u need additional zero -1-√5 so you will expand a polynomial
(x+2)(x-2)²(x-1-√5)(x-1+√5). otherwise not necessary ie
(x+2)(x-2)²(x-1-√5).

Please teach me on how to answer this question. (addmath question)
arsen [322]

We know that \overline{x}=8 so:

\overline{x}=8\\\\\\\dfrac{\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,x_k}{7}=8\qquad|\cdot7\\\\\\ \boxed{\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,x_k=56}

We want to calculate:

\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,\big(2x_k-3\big)^2=\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,\big(4x_k^2-12x_k+9\big)=\\\\\\=\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,4x_k^2-\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,\big12x_k+\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,9=4\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,x_k^2-12\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,x_k+\sum\limits_{k=1}^7\,9=\\\\\\=4\cdot672-12\cdot56+7\cdot9=2688-672+63=\boxed{2079}

I'm solving for UW. And we're using pythagorean theorem.
Alik [6]
UW = 45
a squared + b squared = c squared
- 6^2 + x^2 = 9^2
- 36 + x = 81
- (subtract 36 from both sides)
- x = 45

i'm pretty sure this is right and i hope it helps you!

The cost of an electrical gadget and the cost of a plumbing material were in the ratio 8:6 last year, this year each cost was re
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer

p/q = 8/6

Make p the subject

p = 8q/6........equation 1

This year the price was reduced by 4

p-4/q-4 = 7/5

Cross multiple

5(p-4) = 7(q-4)

5p-20 = 7q-28

5p - 7q = -8 .......equation 2

Sub 8q/6 for p in equation 1

5(8q/6) - 7q = -8

Multiply through by 6

40q-42q=-48

-2q=-48

q=24

Sub 24 for q in equation 1

p= 8(24)/6

p= 192/6

p= 32.....

Check the answer for confirmation.

Thanks.
