Answer:

Calculus

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculus: z = (94-70)/12 = 2

Bio: z = (74.5-77)/10 = -0.25

History: z = (45-53)/16 = -0.5

Physics: (70.5-60)/14 = 0.75

Numbers 11-14 pls I’m having a lot of trouble
Ksivusya [100]

The term "closed" in math means that if you take two items from a set, do some operation, then you'll always get another value in the same set (sometimes you may get the same value as used before). For example, adding two whole numbers leads to another whole number. We therefore say "the set of whole numbers is closed under addition". This applies to integers as well because integers are positive and negative whole numbers. So we can say that integers are closed under addition.

Integers are not closed under division. Take two integers like 2 an 5 and divide: 2/5 = 0.4 which is not an integer. Integers don't have decimal parts.

The set of whole numbers is {0,1,2,3,...} and we can subtract the two values 1 and 2 to get 1-2 = -1. The order matters here. Subtracting a larger value from a smaller leads to a negative. The value -1 is not in the set of whole numbers. So we can say that whole numbers is not closed under subtraction

Finally, the set of irrational numbers is closed under addition. Adding any two irrational numbers leads to another irrational number. For instance, pi+sqrt(2) = 3.142 + 1.414 = 4.556; I'm using rounded decimals as approximate values. An irrational number is one where we cannot write it as a fraction of integers. Contrast that with a rational number in which we can write it as a fraction of integers. Example: 10 = 10/1 is a rational number.

If we run the following line:<br> y = int(3 * '4')<br><br> what is the value of y?
Hitman42 [59]

The value of y in the code segment is 444

<h3>How to determine the value of y?</h3>

The code segment is given as:

y = int(3 * '4')

Evaluate the expression in the bracket

y =int('444')

Remove the bracket

y = 444

Hence, the value of y in the code segment is 444

You are paid $82.50 for 7 1/2 hours of work, whats is your rate of pay?
ra1l [238]

Answer:

Rate of Pay is $11 per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost of 7\frac{1}{2}\:hr of work = $ 82.50

To find: Rate of pay

Here Rate of Pay means Cost of 1 hour of work or we can say cost of per hour work.

7\frac{1}{2}=\frac{7\times2+1}{2}=\frac{15}{2}

⇒ Cost of \frac{15}{2}\;hr of work = $ 82.50

Cost of 1 hr of work = \frac{82.50}{\frac{15}{2}}

                                = \frac{82.50\times2}{15}

                                = \frac{165}{15}

                                = $ 11

Therefore, Rate of Pay is $11 per hour.

Sauron [17]

Answer:

<u>The correct answer is D. 650.oo, 661.70, 673.61, 685.74, 698.08</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's review the information given to us to answer the question correctly:

Compound interest rate charged by Miriam's credit card company = 1.8% monthly

2. If she makes no purchases or payments, she will go more and more in debt.  Which of the following sequences describes her increasing monthly balance?

Miriam's current credit card balance = US$ 650

Miriam's credit card balance in one month = 650 * 1.018

Miriam's credit card balance in one month = 661.70

Miriam's credit card balance in two months = 661.70 * 1.018

Miriam's credit card balance in two months = 673.61

Miriam's credit card balance in three months = 673.61 * 1.018

Miriam's credit card balance in three months = 685.74

Miriam's credit card balance in four months = 685.74 * 1.018

Miriam's credit card balance in four months = 698.08

<u>The correct answer is D. 650.oo, 661.70, 673.61, 685.74, 698.08</u>

A rectangle has side lengths 2x + 3 and 5x - 2.
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

10x² + 11x - 6

Step-by-step explanation:

The area (A) is the product of the sides, that is

A = (2x + 3)(5x - 2) ← expand using FOIL

   = 10x² - 4x + 15x - 6 ← collect like terms

   = 10x² + 11x - 6
