4 0

Answer:

{8, 15, 24}

Step-by-step explanation:

In this problem we have a ratio with 3 numbers

so

Let

x------> the first number

y-----> the second number

z-----> the third number

we know that

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{2}{3} ------> equation A

\frac{x}{z}=\frac{2}{4} ------> equation B

\frac{y}{z}=\frac{3}{4} ------> equation C

Verify each case

case A) {8, 15, 24}

x=8, y=15,z=24

Substitute in the equations

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{8}{15}

\frac{8}{15}\neq \frac{2}{3}

therefore

The case A) not have a ratio of 2:3:4

case B) {2x,3x,4x}

x=2x, y=3x,z=4x

Substitute in the equations

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{2x}{3x}=\frac{2}{3}

\frac{x}{z}=\frac{2x}{4x}=\frac{2}{4}

\frac{y}{z}=\frac{3x}{4x}=\frac{3}{4}

therefore

The case B) have a ratio of 2:3:4

case C) {6m^{2},9m^{2},12m^{2}}

x=6m^{2}, y=9m^{2},z=12m^{2}

Substitute in the equations

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{6m^{2}}{9m^{2}}=\frac{2}{3}

\frac{x}{z}=\frac{6m^{2}}{12m^{2}}=\frac{2}{4}

\frac{y}{z}=\frac{9m^{2}}{12m^{2}}=\frac{3}{4}

therefore

The case C) have a ratio of 2:3:4

Two trains leave stations 442 miles apart at the same time and travel toward each other. One train travels at 95 miles per hour
Brrunno [24]

(75 + 95) \times x = 442

x =  \frac{442}{75 + 95}  = 2.6

so it takes 2.6 of hours which is the same as 2 hours and 36 minutes for them to reach eachother.

Under the last-in, first-out (LIFO) inventory valuation method, a price index for inventory must be established for tax purposes
frosja888 [35]

Answer:

The laspeyres method of weighted aggregate price index is used of LIFO inventory valuation, therefore laspeyres index number is 106.08

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all we would have to perform the following table:

Product   Ending Inventory(Q0)  Begining(P0)   Ending(P1)   P0×Q0   P1×Q0

    A                    500                         0.15               0.21                75        105

    B                       50                         1.60               1.80                 80         90

    C                       100                        4.50             4.20                 450      420

    D                       40                          12.00          13.40                 480     536

                                                                                             Total  1085     1151

Therefore, using laspeyres index number, we calculate the following:

laspeyres index number=(∑P1×Q0/∑P0×Q0)×100

laspeyres index number=(1151/1085)×100

laspeyres index number=106.08

The point(3,7) is reflected in the y axis what are the coordinates now
lapo4ka [179]
When a point P(a, b) is reflected about the y-axis, the coordinates of the reflected point are P'(-a, b).

Thus, the reflection of point (3, 7) is (-3, 7), as shown in the picture.

What is the equation for the linear model in the scatter plot obtained by choosing the two points closest to the line?
HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

Option C is the answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the equation of the straight line equation i.e, we must be given with the two points \left (x_{1},y_{1} \right ) and \left (x_{2},y_{2}\right )

Since from the graph the two points closest to the line are\left ( 10,36 \right ) and \left ( 22,12 \right ).

Equation of line with two points closest to the line :

                                                    y-y_{1}=m\cdot \left ( x-x_{1} \right )

where m is the slope.

First we find the slope(m)=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

m=\frac{12-36}{22-10}

on simplify we get,  m=-2.

Now, to find  the equation of the line:  y-y_{1}=m\cdot \left ( x-x_{1} \right )

y-36=\left ( -2 \right )\cdot \left ( x-10 \right )

Apply distributive property on right hand side, we get

y-36=-2\cdot x+20

Adding both sides by 36, we get

y=-2x+20+36

y=-2x+56.

The equation for the linear  model in the scatter plot obtained by the two closest point \left ( 10,36 \right ) and \left ( 22,12 \right ) closest to the line is,

y=-2x+56
