Answer:

C. The population of scavengers would increase

Explanation:

In a forest ecosystem, Clover plants are producers whose leaves and stems are eaten herbivores (primary consumer) such as deer. In turn, deer is eaten by secondary consumer wolves. On the death of primary and secondary consumers, scavengers such as vultures eat their flesh. Thus, clover – deer – wolf and scavengers constitute a food chain. If in the given food chain population of clover suddenly decreases, the population of deer will decrease in want of food. As a result, the population of wolves would decrease in want of food, but the population of scavengers would increase due to an increase in the food by the death of deer and wolves.

Glucose travels in the plasma or liquid part of
djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

Explanation:

Glucose is a sugar, highly soluble in water because it has lots of polar hydroxyl groups (-OH) which can form hydrogen-bonds with water molecules. These types of bonds are intermolecular forces which are present in other macromolecules like the DNA or proteins.

Cholesterol and triglycerids are lipids. These have long chains of hydrocarbons, which are non polar and therefore insoluble in water.

Blood is made of a solid and a liquid part. The solid part contains cells. The liquid part (plasma), is made of water, salts, and proteins. Glucose and cholesterol/triglycerids travel in the liquid part of the blood, in an aqueous environment. Because the lipids are not soluble, they need to travel with a carrier protein that keeps them protected from the surrounding water.

What happens to the amount of energy as you go up the energy pyramid? Be as specific as possible
yuradex [85]

Answer:

Energy decreases as it moves up trophic levels because energy is lost as metabolic heat when the organisms from one trophic level are consumed by organisms from the next level. Trophic level transfer efficiency (TLTE) measures the amount of energy that is transferred between trophic levels.
