Suppose that you want to move a heavy box with mass 30.0 kg across a carpeted floor. You try pushing hard on one of the edges, b

ut the box does not move. Suppose that you are pushing against the box from an angle 30.0∘ above horizontal with a force of magnitude 240 N. What is the magnitude of the friction force acting on the box?

Answer:

             f =  207.85 N

Explanation:

given,

mass of box = 30 kg

angle made with the horizontal = 30.0∘

Horizontal force = 240 N

now calculating normal force

N = F_y + mg

N = F sin θ+ mg

N = 240 sin 30.0∘ + 30 × 9.8

N = 414 N

Now

frictional force = F _x

             f = F cos θ

             f = 240 × cos 30.0∘

             f =  207.85 N

frictional force acting on the box is 207.85 N

The equation for work (W) done by an electric field is:

W = qΔV

where q is the magnitude of the charge and ΔV is the potential difference. The question gives you W and q, so plug n' play to find ΔV:

10 = 2ΔV

The energy of a photon of light is __________ proportional to its frequency and __________ proportional to its wavelength.
icang [17]

Answer:

D) directly, inversely

Explanation:

The energy of a photon of light is directly proportional to its frequency and inversely proportional to its wavelength.

Frequency is the number of waves that passes through a point per unit of time.

Wavelength is the is the distance between successive crests or troughs on a wave.

 Mathematically, frequency is related to wavelength and velocity using;

             Energy   =  h x f

                      where h is the Planck's constant

                                  f is the frequency

                   Since c  = f ∧

where f is the frequency of the wave

           ∧ is the wavelength of the wave

           c is the speed of light

So;

                 f  = c/∧

  Therefore;

                E  = \frac{h c}{wavelength}

From the equation, we see an inverse relationship between E and wavelength and a direct one with frequency.

When Alfred Wegener proposed the idea the continents could move, other scientists scoffed. ... Plate tectonics -- the concept the continents are rockplates moving on the magma underneath -- is now accepted.Magnetism is part of the evidence forplate tectonic theory.

An output is a Push or pull _________________________ on the object
Ugo [173]

Answer:

The input force that you use on an inclined plane is the force with which you push or pull an object. The output force is the force that you would need to lift the object without the inclined plane. This force is equal to the weight of the object.
