General adaptation syndrome (GAS) is the three-stage process which show the physiological changes in the body when body undergoes stress.
Three stages are: 1) Alarm stage 2) resistance, and 3) exhaustion.
Alarm reaction stage is the initial symptoms that body experiences when under stress.
