Let number of hours = h

Given that she can hike 2.5 per hour. So that means distance travelled in "h" hours will be 2.5h

It is also given that Jody has already hiked 4 kilometers.

So total distance travelled by Jody in "h" hours will be (2.5h+4)

Given that trail is 12 kilometers long.

That means Jody has to travel for 12 kilometers. In that case both values will be equal and we get equation:

2.5h+4=12

We were asked only to find the equation not the value of h, so answer will be 2.5h+4=12

2.5h + 4 = 12 <== ur equation
2.5h = 12 - 4
2.5h = 8
h = 8 / 2.5
h = 3.2 hrs

Goshia [24]

Answer:

P(Cheese) = 0.30

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Cheese = 36

Pepperoni = 64

Veggie = 20

Required

P(Cheese)

This is calculated as:

P(Cheese) = \frac{Cheese}{Total}

P(Cheese) = \frac{36}{36+64+20}

P(Cheese) = \frac{36}{120}\\

P(Cheese) = 0.30

Given that 10% of the nails made using a certain manufacturing process have a length less than 2.48 inches, while 5% have a leng
zvonat [6]

Answer:

The mean, μ is 2.5063 and

The standard deviation, σ = 2.0499 × 10⁻²

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we have

z = \frac{x- \mu}{\sigma}

z \sigma ={x- \mu}{} and

10% have length < 2.48 in while

5% have length > 2.54 in

and

From the z score table

Critical z at 10% to the left = -1.282

Critical z at 5% to the right = 1.645

Therefore, the equations become

-1.282σ = 2.48 - μ → μ -1.282σ = 2.48

1.645σ = 2.54 - μ → μ + 1.645σ = 2.54

Solving the above equations gives

The mean, μ = 2.5063 and

The standard deviation, σ = 2.0499 × 10⁻².

Eugenia rolls a six-sided number cube. What is the probability that she gets a number greater than 4? A. 1/6 B. 1/3 C. 2/3 D. 5/
Alex_Xolod [135]

The probability that she gets a number greater than 4 is 1/3

<h3>How to determine the probability?</h3>

A six-sided number cube has the following properties:

Faces = 6

Numbers greater than 4 = 2

The probability that she gets a number greater than 4 is calculated as:

P = 2/6

Simplify

P =1/3

Hence, the probability that she gets a number greater than 4 is 1/3
