Answer:

magnetite

Explanation:

proportion of iron in haematite = 3.5/5 x 100% = 70%

proportion of iron in magnetite = 7.2/10 x 100% = 72%

Hydrogen gas and oxygen gas react to form water. The balanced equation for the reaction is the following. 2 H2(g) + O2(g) → 2 H2
iogann1982 [59]

Answer: Thus rate of disappearance of H_2=2\times {\text {rate of disappearance of}O_2}

Explanation:

Rate law says that rate of a reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of the reactants each raised to a stoichiometric coefficient determined experimentally called as order.

2H_2(g)+O_2(g)\rightarrow 2H_2O(g)

Given: Order with respect to H_2 = 2

Order with respect to O_2 = 1

Thus rate law is:

Rate=k[H_2]^2[O_2]^1

k= rate constant

The rate in terms of reactants is given as negative as the concentration of reactants is decreasing with time whereas the rate in terms of products is given as positive as the concentration of products is increasing with time.

Rate=-\frac{1d[H_2]}{2dt}=-\frac{1d[O_2]}{dt}

Rate=-\frac{1d[H_2]}{dt}=2\times -\frac{1d[O_2]}{dt}

Thus rate of disappearance of H_2=2\times {\text {rate of disappearance of}O_2}

What element has a mass of 32.8g and occupies 5.6L at STP?
fomenos
At Standard Temperature and Pressure (STP), all gases have a volume of 22.4L/mol.

First, let's find the mole of the gas:
5.6L* (1mol/ 22.4L)= 0.25mol

Now, let's find the molar mass of the gas:
32.8g/ 0.25 mol= 131.2g/mol

Looking at the periodic table, the element is Xe.

Hope this would help~

Which sign or symptom may result from a loss of sodium?
stepan [7]

Increased temperature may result from a loss of sodium .

Sodium is a macronutrient . it is considered as beneficial element .

Sodium occurs naturally in most of the foods .the common form of sodium is sodium chloride which is known as table salt ,almost available in every foods . We take it regularly .milk , beets and celery are source of sodium ,they naturally contain sodium .

some of the form of sodium are monosodium glutamate , baking soda and sodium benzoate . processed meats like sausage , ham canned soups and vegetables also contains sodium .even fast food is the high source of sodium .

The sodium content in the body decreases if we take too much amount of water . because we loss sodium through sweat . drinking too much water cause overwhelming the kidney's ability to excrete water .

symptoms of sodium loss :

the symptoms include dizziness , fatigue , lethargy , thirst , headache , insufficient urine production , nausea . hyponatremia is the most common electrolyte disorder .

The human body requires small amount of sodium per day to conduct nerve impulse , relax muscles , maintain proper balance of water and minerals . body uses sodium to control blood pressure and volume .

2Mg + O2 → 2MgO How many grams of MgO are produced when 40.0 grams of O2 react completely with Mg?
Sloan [31]

Answer:

101 g

Explanation:

M(O2) = 2g*16.0 = 32.0 g/ mol

M(MgO) = 24.3 + 16.0 = 40.3 g/mol

                                   2 Mg          + O2            →      2MgO

from reaction 1 mol 2 mol

from reaction                    1 mol*32.0 g/mol            2 mol*40.3 g/mol

given                                          40 g                        x g

1 mol*32.0 g/mol     ---       2 mol*40.3 g/mol

            40 g          ---              x g

x = (40*2*40.3)/(1*32.0) = 100.75 g ≈ 101 g
