Answer: motion energy : energy related to an object’s movement

thermal energy : energy of motion of particles in a substance

gravitational potential energy :  energy related to height

chemical energy :stored energy related to positions of atoms within molecules

nuclear energy : energy released when a nucleus splits or combines

sound energy : energy generated by vibration of a string

Explanation: Motion energy is also called as kinetic energy and it is defined as the energy possessed by an object due to its motion.

Thermal energy is the measure of total kinetic energy of the particles in a substance. The greater the motion of particles, the higher is the temperature of the substance and thermal energy.

Potential energy is defined as the energy possessed by an object due to its position or height.

Chemical energy is the energy stored in the bonds of the molecules.

Nuclear energy is the energy possessed in the form of binding energy which held the protons and neutrons together in the nucleus.

Sound energy is  the energy possessed by an object by virtue of vibration of matter.

emmainna [20.7K]
This item is solved through the concept of the conservation of momentum which states that the momentum before and after collision should be equal.
                                   momentum = mass x velocity
            (1,600 kg)(16 m/s) + (1.0x10^3 kg)(10 m/s) = (1600 + 1000 kg)(x)
The value of x is 13.69 m/s. Thus, their final speed is approximately letter D. 14 m/s.

Adding or removing thermal energy to or from a substance does not always cause its temperature
julia-pushkina [17]
Change in thermal energy not always cause it's temperature change. It is the situation when water reaches either at 0 C or 100 C then thermal energy doesn't cause change in temperature instead it changes the state of matter.

In short, Your Answer would be "True"

Hope this helps!

The air in a room has a pressure of 1 atm, a dry-bulb temperature of 24°C, and a wet-bulb temperature of 17°C. Using the psychro
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:

Given that

Dry-bulb temperature(T) =24°C

Wet-bulb temperature(Tw) = 17°C

Pressure ,P = 1 atm

As we know that  psychrometric chart are drawn at constant pressure.

From the diagram

ω= specific humidity

Lets take these two lines   Dry-bulb temperature(T) line and Wet-bulb temperature(Tw) cut at point P

From chart at point P

a)

Specific humidity,ω = 0.00922 kg/kg

b)

The enthalpy ( h)

h=47.59 KJ/kg

c)

The relative humidity, RH

RH= 49.58 %

d)

A rabbit is hopping along at an approximately constant speed of 3.9 m/s. The rabbit passes a crouched cat ready to chase the rab
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

t  = 7,8 s

Explanation:

From the instant, the rabbit passes the cat. The cat star running acceleration of 0,5 m/s² .

When the cat arrives at the speed of 3,9 m/s the cat catches the rabbit

Then for the cat arrives at 3,9 m/s nedds

v = vo + a*t     vo  = 0  then   v = a*t

3,9 ( m/s) = 0,5 ( m/s² ) * t

t  = 7,8 s

v  =  3,9 m/s =
