So in the photo, I was trying to do an order of operations problem with photomath. But I don’t like to cheat without understandi

ng something, and here I don’t understand.
Photomath subtracted 15-3 first because it’s in para thesis. But there is a 2 next to the parentheses so aren’t you supposed to distribute the 2 to the 15 and 3 and THEN subtract? Or do you not distribute? If so, why?

Answer:

the answer of the complete equation is 0

Step-by-step explanation:

first you multiply by 2 all in the parenthesis, 2(15) and 2(3) you got a 30. Then you do the exponents 3(3) is 9

so you got like this= 30-6+9(4)

You multiply 9 and 4=

30-6+36

and the answer is 0

3x+1 = y 2x+3y = 14
please explain the steps if you can as well
Likurg_2 [28]
3x + 1 = y
2x + 3y = 14

To solve this system of equations, we are going to use the substitution method. Substitution the equation where the variable is isolated into the second equation. In this system of equations, y is isolated, so we will replace y in the second equation with 3x + 1.

2x + 3y = 14
2x + 3(3x + 1) = 14
2x + 9x + 3 = 14
We will add the like terms and subtract 3 from both sides of the equation.
11x + 3 = 14
11x = 11
x = 1
In this system of equations, x is equal to 1. Now we will go back and solve for y, plugging in 1 for x.
3(1) + 1 = y
2(1) + 3y = 14

3 + 1 = y
2 + 3y = 14

4 = y
3y = 2

4 = y
4 = y

The solution to this system of equations is (1, 4).

What is the range of the data below
A.2
B.5
C.12
D.13
Degger [83]

Range of the data = 13

Solution:

To find the range of the given data:

Let us first define what is range.

Range:

The range of the data set is the difference between the highest value and lowest value of the data set.

i. e. Range = Highest value – Lowest value

In the given number line,

Highest value indicated = 115

Lowest value indicated = 102

Range of the data = 115 – 102

                              = 13

Range of the data = 13

Hence the range of the given data is 13.

Paulo uses an instrument called a densitometer to check that he has the correct ink colour.
tia_tia [17]
If it is said that the range of the answer should be +/- 10% of the particular value, we have to find out the percentage of that particular value. Therefore 10% of 1.8 is,

1.8 * 10/100 = 0.18

If we add this value to the original value,
1.8+0.18 = 1.98

If we subtract this value from the original value,
1.8-0.18 = 1.62

therefore the range will be,
from 1.62 to 1.98
