Answer: YES

They always move towards the earth or any metallic conductor

Explanation:

Electric discharge between two objects follows a predictable path? YES

Static electricity is a buildup of electric charges on objects. Charges build up when negative electrons are transferred from one object to another. The object that gives up electrons becomes positively charged, and the object that accepts the electrons becomes negatively charged.

Once an object becomes electrically charged, it is likely to remain charged until it touches another object or at least comes very close to another object. That’s because electric charges cannot travel easily through air, especially if the air is dry.

They always move towards the earth or any metallic conductor

Catalytic ozone destruction occurs in the stratosphere by a two-step reaction:
Sladkaya [172]
Catalytic ozone destruction occurs in the stratosphere where the reactions involving bromine, chlorine, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen gases form compounds that destroy the ozone layer. The reactions uses a catalyst (speeds up the reaction) in a two step reaction. considering chlorine the reactions appears as follows;
step 1
 Cl + O3 = ClO + O2
 step 2
ClO + O = Cl + O2
Where by chlorine is released to destroy the ozone layer, this takes place many times even with the other elements (hydrogen, bromine, nitrogen) and the end result is a completely destroyed Ozone layer

Periodic waves with a wavelength of 0.50 meter move with a speed of 0.30 meter in medium A. When the waves enter medium B, they
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

0.25 m

Explanation:

Refraction occurs when the velocity or wavelength of a wave changes at the interface between two media.

We know that refractive index=

Wavelength in medium A/wavelength in medium B = velocity in medium A/velocity in medium B

Let the wavelength of medium B be a

0.5/a = 0.3/0.15

0.5 × 0.15 = 0.3 × a

a= 0.5 × 0.15/0.3

a= 0.25 m

Example of nuclear fission and nuclear fusion
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

In fission, energy is gained by splitting apart heavy atoms, for example uranium, into smaller atoms such as iodine, caesium, strontium, xenon and barium, to name just a few. However, fusion is combining light atoms, for example two hydrogen isotopes, deuterium and tritium, to form the heavier helium.

A certain freely falling object, released from rest, requires 1.95 s to travel the last 23.5 m before it hits the ground. (a) Fi
Ratling [72]

Answer:

(a). The velocity of the object is -2.496 m/s.

(b).  The total distance of the object travels during the fall is 23.80 m.

Explanation:

Given that,

Time = 1.95 s

Distance = 23.5 m

(a). We need to calculate the velocity

Using equation of motion

s = ut+\dfrac{1}{2}gt^2

Put  the value into the formula

-23.5=u\times1.95+\dfrac{1}{2}\times(-9.8)\times(1.95)^2

u=\dfrac{-23.5+4.9\times(1.95)^2}{1.95}

u=-2.496\ m/s

(b). We need to calculate the total distance the object travels during the fall

Using equation of motion

v = u+gt

Put the value in the equation

-2.496=0-9.8\times t

t =\dfrac{2.496}{9.8}

t=0.254\ sec

The total time is

t'=t+1.95

t'=0.254+1.95

t'=2.204\ sec

We need to calculate the distance

Using equation of motion

s = ut+\dfrac{1}{2}gt^2

Put the value into the formula

s=0+\dfrac{1}{2}\times9.8\times(2.204)^2

s=23.80\ m

Hence, (a). The velocity of the object is -2.496 m/s.

(b).  The total distance of the object travels during the fall is 23.80 m.
