Explanation:

In conduction heat is transferred from the hot region of the object to a cold region of the object. Conduction of heat takes place in solids.  

Convection of heat takes place in liquids and radiation of heat takes place in gases.  

When liquids are heated, the layer of water closest to the source of heat, gets heated quickly becomes lighter and rises up. The cold layer of water from above then comes down at taks its position closer to the source of heat.

Sun emits electromagnetic waves and the waves carrying heat propagates through the air.  

Refraction is the bending of light waves and does nt deal with transfer of heat.
