y (Pew website, October 23, 2012). The results showed that 454 out of 478 adults aged 18 - 29 answered Yes; 741 out of 833 adults aged 30 – 49 answered Yes; 1058 out of 1644 adults aged 50 and over answered Yes.
Round your answers to four decimal places.
a. Develop a point estimate of the proportion of adults aged 18 – 29 who use the Internet.
b. Develop a point estimate of the proportion of adults aged 30 – 49 who use the Internet.
c. Develop a point estimate of the proportion of adults aged 50 and over who use the Internet.

Answer:

Explanation:

S/N   Age range       Adult Population       Population Internet Users

A       18   -    29                 478                                 454

B       30   -    49                833                                 741

C       50 and above         1644                                1058

             Total                     2955                               2253

a) Let E = Estimate proportion and A = Internet users

Hence, n(E) = 478 and n(A) = 454

∴ Probability of Internet users (18 - 29), P(A) = n(A)/n(E) = 454/478 = 0.9498 (94.98%)

b) n(E) = 833 and n(B) = 741

∴ Probability of Internet users (30 - 49), P(B) = n(A)/n(E) = 741/833 = 0.8896 (88.96%)

c) n(E) = 1644 and n(C) = 1058

∴ Probability of Internet users (50 and above), P(C) = n(C)/n(E) = 1058/1644 = 0.6436 (64.36%)

d) Let Et = Total estimate proportion

Hence, n(Et) = 2955 and n(A) = 454

∴ Probability of 18 - 29 age range using Internet overall Pt(A) = n(A)/n(Et) = 454/2955 = 0.1536 (15.36%)

A detailed numbering system developed by the United States, Canada, and Mexico to classify North American business establishment
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

It is True

Explanation:

NAKES system is unique among the classifications of economic activities because it was developed based on a conceptual framework (that of production function or production process) that guided its construction as much as possible. In it, activities that have similar production functions are classified in the same category and those that have different production are accommodated in different ones.

It was developed following this unique principle, which allows groupings to be created systematically, always under the same logic, which helps to avoid controversies and interpretation errors.

The System consists of five levels of aggregation: sector (the most aggregate, identified with two digits), subsector (three), branch (four digits), sub-frame (five) and activity class (the most disaggregated level, identified with six digits).

It is common to try to use NAKES to classify products, if the user has that intention with certainty the classifier will disappoint his expectations because the objective of the System is to classify economic activities, not products.

The city of spartan's fiscal year ends on december 31. on october 1, 2017, the city issued $1,000,000 of 6%, 10-year term bonds
Semenov [28]

Answer: There was $0 in 2017 and $60,000 in 2018.

Explanation: The amount of interest that it is paying for each year on the bonds needs to be recognized in the debt service fund. In 2017 there was not payment made on the bond interest, because they were issued on October 1.

In 2018 there were two bond payments made. The annual interest is 6%, so the total interest to be recorded as an expenditure for the year is .06 x $1,000,000 = $60,000.

schepotkina [342]

Answer:

$800

Explanation:

Pedro's tuition costs of $6,000 is a personal expense and does not qualify as a charitable contribution.

Pedro's donation to the church of $1,000 is charity, but he has to deduct the registration fee of $200 from it. Thus, his total charitable contribution is $1,000 - $200 = $800
