You work for a pharmacy and monthly sales of asthma inhalers in your pharmacy follows a normal distribution with a mean of 191 i

nhalers per month and a standard deviation of 21 due to a storm the next shipment of inhalers did not arrive. The pharmacy only has 163 inhalers currently in stock and available to sell for the current month. What is the z score corresponding to selling 163 inhalers?

Answer: -1.33 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula to find the Z-score :

Z=\dfrac{\text{Expected value - Mean}}{\text{Standard deviation}}

Given: Mean = 191  and Standard deviation = 21

Then , the z-score corresponding to the expected value of 163 will be :

Z=\dfrac{163-191}{21}\\\\=\dfrac{-28}{21}\approx-1.33

Hence, the z score corresponding to selling 163 inhalers is -1.33 .

Suppose you work for a large coffee distribution that has a secret coffee blend it sells to local stores. Gazebo blend with Kona
KATRIN_1 [288]

Answer:

12 Pounds

Step-by-step explanation:

The proportion of the secret blend is 90/27. When there is only 40 pounds of gazebo, your proportion looks like this:  40/X. X being pounds of Kona. When you are to simplify 90/27 you're left with 10/3. Cross multiply 10/3 and 40/X to and simply to get 10x = 120, leaving you with 12 as your final answer. Hope this explanation helps.

I need help and steps of how u got it
Gnom [1K]

Answer:

A)  4

Step-by-step explanation:

There are a couple of ways to get this but this is how I did it:

1.  Multiply the second equation by 1/4 to get the same fraction for y as the one in the first equation

1/4 x + 1/8 y = 2

1/4 (1/3 x + 1/2 y = 4)

1/12 x + 1/8 y = 1

2.  Subtract the first equation from the new equation

    1/12 x + 1/8 y = 1

<u>    - 1/4 x - 1/8 y = -2</u>

-1/6 x= -1

3.  Divide both sides by -1/6

  <u>-1/6</u> x= <u>-1</u>

   -1/6    -1/6

     x = 6

4. Substitute 4 in for x in the original equation:

1/4 (6) + 1/8y = 2

6/4 + 1/8y = 2

1/8y = 1/2

  y = 4

At a park, there are 38 people playing tennis some or playing doubles and some are playing singles there are 13 matches in progr
dmitriy555 [2]
X = number of singles matches
y = number of doubles mnathes

so we have the equation x + y = 13.......(1)

also

2x + 4y  = 38 ...........(2)

(1) and (2) are the required equations

b)  Find how many maches are in progress by solivng the above equations:-

x + y  =  13   multiply this by -2:-
-2x - 2y = -26
2x + 4y = 38   Adding to removes the  terms in x:-

2y = 12

y = 6

so x = 13-6 = 7

So the answer is  6 double matches and 7 singles are in progress.
