If u had 88$ + 29$ that would be 117 . Now that u got 74 dollars left .you would take 117 ( the total beginning money ) and subtract it from 74 . Equation 117-74=43$ so you spent 43 on on summer tickets

I have $88 and I earned $29

88 + 29 = $117

<u>Now I have $117 altogether</u>

I spend some money have I have $74

117 - 74 = $43

<u>So I have spent $43 on the tickets.</u>

A die is rolled and the results are 1, 2, 1, 4, 5, 6, 1, 3, 6, 6, 5, 2, 3.
ANTONII [103]
<h3>Answer: True</h3>

We have A = 2 copies of "2" showing up out of B = 13 rolls total

A/B = 2/13 = 0.1538 is the experimental probability of rolling a 2

Compare this with 1/6 which is the theoretical probability of rolling a 2 (since there is one side labeled "2" out of 6 sides total)

1/6 = 0.167 approximately

Comparing 0.1538 with 0.167 is fairly close

or you could argue that 2/13 is close to 2/12 = 1/6

Write an equation of a line that is parallel to the line y = 3x + 10
12345 [234]
Answer- A

Reason- in order to have two lines be parallel they must have the same slope, in this case the slope has to be 3x. If you look at A it is 2y=6x+8 and to graph it, y has to be by itself. so you divide both sides by two making it y=3x+4, and as you can see it now has a slope of 3x.

How do I solve this linear system using the elimination method?
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

Solution: x=4, y = \frac{5}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>System of Equations</u>

Solve the system:

x + 4y = 14

3x - 2y = 7

using the elimintation method.

To use the elimination method, we must add or subtract both equations in such a way that one of the variables goes away, and only one remains.

It requires to multiply one of them by a specific factor to match the coefficients. For example, multiply the first equation by -3:

-3x - 12y = -42

And add it to the second:

3x - 2y = 7

To result:

-14y = -35

Divide by -14:

y = -35/(-14)

Simplifying:

y = \frac{5}{2}

Now calculate x:

x = 14 - 4*\frac{5}{2}

x = 14-10

x=4

Solution: x=4, y = \frac{5}{2}
