Answer: it has one solution

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

y = 8x + 2 ................ equation 1

y = -8x + 2 ................. equation 2

Equating the two equation , we have

8x + 2 = -8x + 2

collecting the like terms

8x + 8x = 2 - 2

16x = 0

x = 0

substitute x = 0 into equation 1

y = 8x + 2

y = 8(0) + 2

y = 2

Therefore : it has one solution

It would be no solutions because

8x+2=-8x+2
+8x. +8x

16x +2 = 2
-2. -2

16x = 0

No solution

10) Jacolby can score 30 goals in 6 minutes. Khamari can score 42 goals in 7 minutes. How many more goals can Khamari make per m
lidiya [134]

Answer:

c)1 goal

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Jacolby can make 30 goals in 6 minutes, that makes (30/6) 5 goals per minute. Khamari can make 42 goals in 7 minutes, that makes (42/7) 6 goals per minute. So Jalcolby is 5 and Khamari is 6, and the question is asking how many MORE. 6-5 is 1, so Khamari can make 1 more goal per minute than Jacolby.

Hope this helps.
