Answer;

D. rods and cones

Explanation;

 • The receptor cells that convert light energy into neural signals are called rods and cones.
 • The retina is part of the eye that contains specialized cells that respond to light called photoreceptors. There are two types of photoreceptors in the retina, namely; rods and cones.
 • Rods are sensitive to light and dark changes, shape and movement and contain only one type of light-sensitive pigment.
 • Cones are not as sensitive to light as the rods, however, they are most sensitive to the three primary colors; blue, red and green. Signals from cones are sent to the brain which translates the messages into the color perception.

Answer: rods and cones

Explanation:

We know that, when sensory receptors converts from light energy into neural signal this process is transduction. This process is performed in our eye's retina by the rods and cone.

Hence, The receptor cells that convert light energy in to neural signals are called rods and cones.

An airplane flying at a velocity of 610 m/s lands and comes to a complete stop over a 53 second period of time.
Airida [17]

Answer:

a = - 11.53[m/s^2]

Explanation:

The airplane slows down as its speed decreases from the initial value of 610 [m/s] to zero.

To calculate the acceleration value we use the following kinematics equation:

v_{f} = v_{i}+(a*t)\\

where:

Vf = final velocity = 0

Vi = initial velocity = 610 [m/s]

a = acceleration [m/s2]

t = time = 53 [s]

Now replacing:

0 = 610 + (a*53)

-610 = 53*a

a = - 11.53[m/s^2]

The negative sign means that the aircraft is losing speed, i.e. slowing down

A woman was told in 2020 that she had exactly 15 years to live. If she travels away from the Earth at 0.8 c and then returns at
mafiozo [28]

Answer:

2035

Explanation:

The doctor does not travel with the woman, and therefore, he won't experience any relativistic effect on his time. The doctor will judge time by the time here on earth. Technically, the last new year's day the doctor, who is here on earth, would expect the woman to celebrate will be in 2020 + 15 years = 2035
