Which of the statements are true? Yeast cells that produce more unsaturated fatty acids than saturated fatty acids in response t

o cold have greater cold tolerance. Cell membranes in reindeer legs (near the hooves) are kept flexible because they have a large number of saturated fatty acids. A plant that produces more monounsaturated fatty acids than polyunsaturated fatty acids in its membranes in winter has an increased resistance to freeze damage. Cell membranes in cold tolerant winter wheat plants have a higher ratio of unsaturated fatty acids to saturated fatty acids than do cold intolerant wheat varieties.

Answer:1)Yeast cells that produce more unsaturated fatty acids than saturated fatty acids in response to cold have greater cold tolerance

2)Cell membranes in reindeer legs (near the hooves) are kept flexible because they have a large number of saturated fatty acids.

3.)Cell membranes in cold tolerant winter wheat plants have a higher ratio of unsaturated fatty acids to saturated fatty acids than do cold intolerant wheat varieties.

Explanation.

Basically the longer the chains of fatty acids the higher the degree of energy produced as heat energy, and therefore the higher the insulation.

Unsaturated fats clogged together and the aggregate carbons and hydrogens ensured insulation.

Which of the following is a factor that, by itself, does not promote widespread changes in allele or genotype frequencies? a. Ne
defon

Answer:

A new mutation

Explanation:

A mutation refers to the random changes in the DNA of organisms. A mutation changes the allele and genotype frequencies by the introduction of a new allele in the gene pool.

However, mutations are not the major factor responsible for changes in the gene pool of a population as mutations are rare. The rate of mutations is very slow and does not allow it to serve as a major factor to change the allele and genotype frequencies.
