Undifferentiated cells which can be converted in any cell type as per need of the body. They originate form embryos and body tissues; like stem cells derived form skin, bone marrow, blood etc. stem cells controversy discusses the ethical boundaries in using stem cells or human embryos. retrieving embryos from the maternal body and using them for stem cell genesis is considered unethical according to most school of thoughts.
