Time = 3 miles / (20 mph - wind velocity)
time = 2 miles / (20 mph + wind velocity)

3 miles / (20 mph + wind velocity) = 2 miles / (20 mph - wind velocity)

3/2 =  (20 mph + wind velocity) / (20 mph - wind velocity)

1.5 =  (20 mph + wv) / (20 mph -wv)

30 mph -1.5wv = 20 mph -wv

10 mph = 2.5 wv

wind velocity = 4 mph

Steve has overdrawn his checking account by $27. His bank charged him $15 for an overdraft fee. Then he quickly deposited $100.
REY [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Overdrawn amount =$27

So Steve has negative $27 in the account.

Bank charge =$15 which Steve has to pay to the bank.

So Steve's account has negative $27 plus negative $15.

altogether negative (27+15)= 42.

As he deposits $100, this negative $42 will be deducted from the newly available amount.

so $100-$42 = $58.

Now he is left with $58 in the account

alexandr1967 [171]
Use the definition of a logarithm
If Log(x) = y ; then b^y = x

Log_{2} (Log_{5} (x)) = 3 \\ \\
2^{3} = Log_{5} (x)
\\ \\ 8 = Log_{5} (x)
\\ \\ x = 5^{8}
\\ \\ x = 390,625
