Answer:

175/3 or 58.333...

Step-by-step explanation:

This is fairly complicated but I will try to make it as simple as possible. I also apologize in advance for how impossible it is to make fractions look like fractions. I also had to insert a bunch of unnecessary parentheses just because the fractions that I can make are relatively inaccurate.

The distance between 2 cities can be represented as d.

Time is d/r if r is rate, so B->NY=d/50

Similarly,NY->B is d/70

Obviously the average speed is 2d/(d/50+d/70), this is just an average time

Now just remove the d and get (d/d)*2/(1/50+1/70)

You can now multiply by the LCM/LCM, which is 350/350.

After calculating you will get 700/12 which is 58.333...(This is how to enter into your RSM browser) Hope this helps. Sorry it is so late.

Darryl deposits $ 1,500.00 into a savings account that has a simple interest rate of 2.7% Lori deposits $ 1,400.00 into a saving
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

Daryl

He deposits $1,500 at an interest rate of 2.7%

We now turn the percentage into a decimal 2.7%--->0.027

We multiply $1,500 x 1.027^{10} to get 1,957.92

Lori deposits $1,400 at an interest rate of 3.8%

We once again turn the percentage into a decimal 3.8%--->0.038

We multiply $1,400 x 1.038^{10} to get 2032.83

Meaning Lori has more at the ned of the 10 years

3. Barbara was asked to create a set of numbers that contained only integers. Which of the sets does
NARA [144]

Answer:

C (5.3, -6, -14, 3.5, 7)

Step-by-step explanation:

Integers are the sets of positive and negative whole numbers including zero.

In set notation, we denote the set of integers using the letter \mattbb{Z}.

From the given options:

In Option C (5. 3, -6, -14, 3.5, 7), we have the number 3.5 and 5.3 which are not whole numbers. Therefore 3.5 and 5.3 are not integers.

Option C is the set which does not contain only integers.
