the length = x
the width = x-23
perimeter = 122 ft
perimeter = 2 ( length + width )
         122     = 2 ( x + x-23)
             122   = 2x + 2x - 46
                 122=4x-46
          122+46=4x
           168=4x
               x=168/4
               x=42
     length=42
    width = x -23
            = 42-23
             = 19
