Korey starts a small carwash business to save up some cash. He decides to offer two different price packages to his clients. Pac

kage A charges $15.00 for the first car wash and a dollar less for each car wash after. Package B charges $28.00 for the first car wash, but the price is cut by 25% for each of the next car washes.
How much would the 3rd car wash be in package A?

Answer: $13.00

Because it states in the question: Package A charges $15.00 for the first car wash and a dollar less for each car wash after. If they were to wash two cars then a third, the first car would be $15.00 while the second would be $14.00 and the third would be $13.00 since package A is subtracting a dollar every wash.

When you multiply 2/3 by a fraction less than one, how does the product compare to the factors. Explain.
pychu [463]
The product is less than either of the factors. Multiplying a number < 1 with 2/3 another number < 1, will give a fraction of a fraction, and part of a fraction is an even smaller fraction. Another way of looking at it: Fractions less than one have numerators smaller than their denominators. When multiplying fractions, you multiply across, so multiplying two fractions that are both less than one will always give a numerator much smaller than the denominator, and a larger denominator makes for a smaller number. I hope this helps, but if you have questions, ask.

How many times would the cricket mostly likely chirp per minute if the temperature outside were 76^{\circ} ∘ F?
anastassius [24]

Answer:

834 chirps

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the data:

Chirps in 1 min Temperature (°F)

781 74

1039 85.9

1156 87.2

1218 87.8

1131 91.4

888 75.5

Using technology, the regression model obtained will be in the form :

y = bx + c

b = slope ; c = intercept

y = temperature ; x = chirps per minute

The regression model is :

ŷ= 43.28 + 0.0390x

If outside temperature, y = 76 ; x will be ;

76 = 43.28 + 0.0390x

76 - 43.28 = 0.0390x

32.72 = 0.0390x

x = 32.72 / 0.0390

x = 838.97435

x = 834 chirps per minute

Find the equation of the line through (-8, -2) & (-4, 6)
Katena32 [7]

Answer:

y=2x+14

Step-by-step explanation:

y=mx+b

(6)-(-2) over (-4)-(-8) = 8 over 4= 2

y=2x+b

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-(-2)=2(x-(-8))

y+2=2x+16 subtract 2 on each side

y=2x+14
