Answer:

R = 11.8 ohms

Explanation:

Formula

R = R_ref[1 + a(T - T_ref)]

Givens

  • R_ref = 10 ohms
  • T_ref = 20oC
  • T = 65oC
  • a = 0.004
  • R = resistance at 65oC = ???

Solution

R = 10*[1 + 0.004(65 - 20)]

R = 10*[1 + 0.004(45)]

R = 10*[1 + 0.18]

R = 10*(1.18)

R = 11.8 ohms

Be sure you understand not to add the 1 and 0.004 together. You don't get 1.004 at any point of the solution. If you do, you won't know what to do (exactly) with the 45.

1. An airow is shot horizontally from a crossbow 1.5 m above the ground. The initial velocity is 45
Amanda [17]

Answer:

Time taken by the arrow to travel along to hit the ground is 0.55 seconds.

Explanation:

The only "force" acting on the "crossbow" to cause it to "hit" the ground is "gravity". There is no initial velocity downward when it shoot.

d=v_{i} t+\frac{1}{2} t^{2}

d = the displacement of the object

t = the time for which the object moved

a = acceleration of the object

v_i = the initial velocity of the object

Given values

d = 1.5 m

t = unknown

a=g=9.8 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}^{2}

\mathrm{V}_{\mathrm{i}}=0 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}

1.5 \mathrm{m}=0(\mathrm{t})+\frac{1}{2}\left(9.8 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}^{2}\right) \mathrm{t}^{2}

1.5=0+4.9 \mathrm{t}^{2}

\mathrm{t}^{2}=\frac{1.5}{4.9}

t^{2}=0.306 \mathrm{s}

Square root both sides

t=\sqrt{0.306}

t = 0.55 s

a deer with a mass of 176 kg is running head-on towards you with a velocity of 19 m/s. you are going north. find the magnitude a
Igoryamba

Momentum = Mass × Velocity

According to this formula,

Momentum of deer = 176 × 19 = 3344 kg•m/s.

Since you are heading north and the deer is running towards you, the direction of the deer' s momentum is north as well.

You need to design a photodetector that can respond to the entire range of visible light. True or False
Rasek [7]

Answer: True

Explanation:

A photo detector that can respond to the entire rang of visible light can be design, it is true.

Photo detector is a device in an optical receiver which receives optical signals and convert it to electric signal. It is the key device position in front of the optical receiver.

A black widow spider hangs motionless from a web that extends vertically from the ceiling above. If the spider has a mass of 1.2
leva [86]

Answer:

Tension = 0.012 N

Explanation:

If the black widow spider is hanging vertically motionless from the ceiling above. Then, the weight of the spider must be balancing the tension in the spider web. Therefore,

Tension = Weight

Tension = mg

where,

m = mass of spider = 1.27 g = 0.00127 kg

g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s²

Therefore,

Tension = (0.00127 kg)(9.8 m/s²)

<u>Tension = 0.012 N</u>
