<h3>The least number of deliveries that Bobby must make to reach his goal is 14</h3>

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that,

Bobby per $9 per hour and $6 for each delivery he makes

Let "D" be the number of delivery he makes

He wants to earn more than $155 an 8 hour work day

<em><u>Thus a inequality is framed as:</u></em>

9 ( 8 ) + 6(D) > 155\\\\72 + 6D > 155

Subtract 72 from both sides

72 + 6D - 72 > 155 - 72

6D > 83

Divide both sides by 83

D > 13.83

Thus least number of deliveries that Bobby must make to reach his goal is 14

Complete the set of ordered pairs for the relation.
neonofarm [45]

The set of ordered pairs is:

{(-2, 2), (-1, 0), (0, 2), (1, 4), (2, 6)}

<h3>How to complete the set of ordered pairs?</h3>

Here we have the relation:

y = 2*|x + 1|

And the domain is x ∈ { -2, -1, 0, 1, 2}

Evaluating in the values of the domain, we get:

if x = -2.

y = 2*|-2 + 1| = 2

Then we have the ordered pair (-2, 2)

if x = -1

y = 2*|-1 + 1| = 0

Then we have the ordered pair (-1, 0)

if x = 0

y = 2*|0 + 1| = 2

Then we have the ordered pair (0, 2)

if x = 1

y = 2*|1 + 1| = 4

Then we have the ordered pair (1, 4)

if x = 2

y = 2*|2 + 1| = 6

Then we have the ordered pair (2, 6)

The set of ordered pairs is:

{(-2, 2), (-1, 0), (0, 2), (1, 4), (2, 6)}

Step-by-step explanation:

2/3 = 0.66

8 x 0.66 = 12.12

Round down to 12.

Kari drew two parallel lines PQ and RS intersected by a transversal KL, as shown below:
Arlecino [84]
Given that PQ and RS are drawn with KL as tranversal intersecting PQ at M and RS at point N. Angle QMN is congruent to angle LNS because they are alternate to each other. The theorem that Kari can use to show that the meansure of QML is supplementary to the measure of angle SNK is Alternate Exterior Angles Theorem.
This is because angle KNR is equal to QML by alternate exterior angles theorem so is angle MLP and SNK

A teacher was interested in finding out whether a special study program would increase the scores of students on a national exam
bija089 [108]

Answer:

Check the explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Going by the first attached image below we reject H_o against  H_1 if obs.T > t_{\alpha /2;n-1}

here obs.T=1.879

\therefore obs.T \ngtr 2.447=t_{0.025;6}

we accept H_o:\mu _{1}=\mu_{2} at 5% level of significance.

i.e there is no sufficient evidence to indicate that the special study program is more effective at 5% level of significance.

1.

this problem is simillar to the previous one except the alternative hypothesis.

Let X_i's denote the bonuses given by female managers and Y_i's denote the bonuses given by male managers.

we assume that X_i \sim N(\mu _{1},\sigma _{1}^{2}) Y_i \sim N(\mu _{2},\sigma _{2}^{2}) independently

We want to test H_0:\mu_{1}=\mu_{2} vs H_1:\mu_{1}\neq \mu_{2}

define D_i=X_i-Y_i , i=1(1)8

now D_i\sim N(\mu _{1}-\mu _{2}=\mu _{D},\sigma _{1}^{2}+\sigma _{2}^{2}=\sigma _{D}^{2}) , i=1(1)8

the hypothesis becomes

H_0:\mu_{D}=0 vs H_1:\mu_{D}\neq 0

in the third attached image, we use the same test statistic as before

i.e at 5% level of significance there is not enough evidence to indicate a difference in average bonuses .
