Let the angle of elevation be θ.

We have a right angled triangle with an opposite of 300.5 ft. (306 - 5.5) and an adjacent of 400 ft. Recalling SOH CAH TOA, tanθ = O/A.
tan(θ) = 300.5/400.
θ = tan^-1(300.5/400).
θ = 36.9°.

Answer: Angle of depression = 33.7°

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Length of base of the right angle triangle = 450 feet

Length of Frank = 5.5 feet

Length of Statue of Liberty = 306 feet

So, Length of perpendicular = 306-5.5=300.5 feet

So, in triangle , we will apply tangent of triangle:

\tan \theta=\frac{Perpendicular}{Base}\\\\\tan \theta=\frac{300.5}{450}\\\\\tan \theta=0.6677\\\\\theta=\tan^{-1}(0.6677)\\\\\theta=33.7^\circ

Hence, Angle of elevation = 33.7° = Angle of depression (By alternate interior angle).

ELEN [110]

Answer:

A 90% confidence interval to estimate the mean DRP score in Henrico County Schools  is =32±2.7280

i.e. C.I.  [29.3,34.7]

Hence the results are not significant.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total no of students =44

True mean =32

Standard deviation=11

And all 4 students score also given.

To Find:

90 % confidence interval and conclusion on it.

Solution:

Here for C.I. we required mean, standard deviation and no of students.

So mean =32,S.D.=11 and n=44

Therefore , For 90 % interval Zscore is Z=1.645

C.I.=mean±Z[Standard  deviation/Sqrt(n)]

=32±1.645[11/Sqrt(44)]

=32±1.645[1.6583]

=32±2.7280

i.e. C.I.  [29.3,34.7]

Now Here to commit on calculated interval we should check  value of Z-score

So we need to calculate the sample mean.

Sample mean =Sum of all values /Total no of values.

=[40+ 26 +39+ 14+ 42+ 18 +25+ 43+ 46 +27 +19+ 47+ 19 +26+ 35 +34+ 15+ 44 40+ 38+ 31+ 46 +52 +25+ 35 +35+ 33 +29 +34 +41 +49+ 28+ 42+ 47 +35 +48 +22 33+ 41 +51 +27 +14+ 54 +45]/44

=34.86

Z-score=(sample mean -true mean)/[standard deviation/Sqrt(n)]

=(34.86-32)/[11/Sqrt(44)]

Z=1.72465

For ,

P(Z≥1.72465)=0.08544

For 0.05 significance level  the results are not significant at  p<0.01.

Researcher claimed mean is not correct upto 0.05 significant level

i.e calculated mean and Sample mean are different.

Hence the results are not significant.

What is the greatest common factor of 8 and 18?
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer: 2

Step-by-step explanation: To find the greatest common factor or GCF of 8 and 18, we begin by finding all of the factors of each number.

To find the factors of 8, we know that 8 ÷ 1 is 8 so 1 and 8 are factors.

8 ÷ 2 is 4 so 2 and 4 are factors.

However, if we continue to divide 8 by 3, 4, 5, and so on, we won't find any new factors. So the factors of 8 are 1, 2, 4, and 8.

Now let's find the factors of 18.

18 ÷ 1 is 18 so 1 and 18 are factors.

18 ÷ 2 is 9 so 2 and 9 are factors.

18 ÷ 3 is 6 so 3 and 6 are factors.

However, if we continue to divide by 4, 5, 6, and so on, we won't find any new factors. So the factors of 18 are 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, and 18.

Now that we have our list of factors, to find the greatest common factor, we simply find the largest number that is shared by the two lists.

Notice that our lists share a 1 but the largest number they share is a <em>2</em><em>.</em>

<em />

So the greatest common factor or <em>gcf</em> of 8 and 18 is 2.

I have also shown my work on the whiteboard.
