<u>Answer</u>:

Force is directly proportional to the  acceleration.

<u>Explanation</u>:

Using to the Newton's second law of motion,  we can describe the relationship of force and acceleration.

F = ma

Hence they are directly proportional to each other. If we increase the force in an object then the acceleration of the object will also increase by same. or we can say force is similar to acceleration. Newton's second law says that the acceleration of an object depends on two factor i.e. net force that is acting on object and object's mass.

Calculate the time required (in years) for water to penetrate a layer of clay that is 40 cm deep when exposed to a hydraulic gra
guapka [62]

Answer:

The time required to penetrate the 40 cm clay layer is 126.82 years

Explanation:

Given:

Hydraulic gradient = 1 \frac{cm}{cm}

Permeability of clay K = 1 \times 10^{-8} \frac{cm}{sec}

Time required to penetrate 40 cm clay layer,

  = \frac{40}{K}

  = \frac{40}{1 \times 10^{-8} }

  = 40 \times 10^{8} sec

But we have to find time in years,

  = \frac{40 \times 10^{8} }{24 \times 60 \times 60 \times 365} years

  = 126.82 years

Therefore, the time required to penetrate the 40 cm clay layer is 126.82 years

A pulley system with a mechanical advantage of 15 is used to lift a 1750 N piano to a third floor balcony that is 7 m above the
devlian [24]

Answer:

The  force is E = 117 \  N

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

     The  mechanical advantage is  ME = 15

     The load is L  =  1750 \  N

      The  height is  h  =  7  \  m

Generally mechanical advantage is mathematically represented as

       ME =  \frac{L }{E }

Here E is the force that must be applied to move the piano

=>     E =  \frac{L}{ ME }

=>     E =  \frac{1750 }{15  }

=>     E = 117 \  N

Answer: V_{min} = 110 V

Explanation:

Voltage is calculated by Ohm's Law:

V_{min} = i_{min} \cdot R_{dry}\\V_{min} = (0.001 A)\cdot(1.1 \times 10^5 \Omega)\\V_{min} = 110 V
