we know that

the 100% of the work is equal to 1

so

To find how much work is left to complete

$=1-(\frac{2}{5} + \frac{1}{3}) \\\\= 1-(\frac{6+5}{15}) \\\\=1- \frac{11}{15} \\\\=\frac{4}{15}$

therefore

the work completed is equal to $\frac{11}{15}$

the pending work to be completed is $\frac{4}{15}$

the total work  is equal to $\frac{15}{15}=1$
