Write an equation of a line that has a y-intercept at (0, -6)

Answer:

y=x-6

Step-by-step explanation:

    First to write this equation you will need to know <em>slope intercept form</em> which is the equation that the people that wrote this problem are presumably looking for. Slope intercept form can be simply written as y=mx+b . The variable m would be the slope while the variable b would be the y -intercept.

    So to find out this we would have to assume that m or the slope would have to be 1 so we would have y=1x+b or y=x+b.

    Now we have the first half of the equation we can move on to the variable b or the y-intercept (0,-6) . To find the variable b we will just have to graph the point (0,-6) which as you can see from the picture is the y-intercept and that is -6 units below 0. So the final answer will be y=x-6

Barry Road his scooter<br> for 24 minutes at a speed of 0.5 per minute how far did he go
liraira [26]
Well, I'm not sure what units "0.5" apply to, but to find the distance he rode, you will need to multiply.

0.5 * 24 = 12.

Barry rode his scooter for a distance of 12 [insert units here].

Hope this helps! Have a great day :)

Evaluate the limit assuming that limx→−5f(x)=17limx→−5f(x)=17 and limx→−5g(x)=22limx→−5g(x)=22. (use symbolic notation and fract
Gemiola [76]

In this question it is given that

\lim_{x->-5}f(x)=17, \lim_{x->-5}g(x)=22

And we have to find the value of the given limit

\lim_{x->-5}(23f(x)+3g(x))

Using properties of limit, first we separate the two functions, that is

23\lim_{x->-5}f(x)+3\lim_{x->-5}g(x)

Substituting the values of the given limit,

23(17)+3(22)=457

What is the end behavior of the graph of the polynomial function y = 10x9 – 4x?
scoray [572]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

The value of the highest degree ( x^9)  is 9 - odd.

So this well rise from negative infinity on the left and rise to positive infinity on the right - or, putting it in a different way, fall to the left and rise to the right.
