A student carefully drops a 9.0 g solid Zn pellet initially at 50.0°C into an insulated cup containing 30.0 g of water at 27.8°C
jekas [21]

Answer: choice B

Explanation: Heat flows from high to low. After you convert the Celsius into kelvin the Zn pellet has 323K and the water has 301K which results the transfer of the heat energy of the pallet to the water. ( you don’t have to convert, but it just make it easier) hope this helped you :)

The atmospheric pressure on the surface of Venus is 6.84X10^4. Calculate the atmospheric pressure in atm and torr. Round each of
quester [9]

Answer:

0.675 atm

513 Torr

Explanation:

Given is that, the atmospheric pressure on the surface of Venus is

6.84 X 10⁴ Pa.

1 atm (atmospheric pressure) is equal to 101325 pascal (Pa).

To convert divide the pressure value by 101325.

Pressure in atm = \frac{6.84 \times 10^{4} }{101325}

= 0.675055 atm

Rounding it off to 3 significant digits: 0.675 atm

Now,  one Torr is 133.322 Pa. For conversion, divide the pressure value by 133.322.

Pressure in Torr = \frac{6.84 \times 10^{4} }{133.322}

=513.04219 Torr

Rounding it off to 3 significant digits: 513 Torr

Which of the following is an example of mechanical weathering
777dan777 [17]
The answer is A-Gravity. Why? This is because B and C are examples of chemical weathering and not mechanical. Although choice D may seem viable lava intrusion is not a direct cause of mechanical weathering although lava pushing upward may help in aiding mechanical weathering it would not be considered a big enough cause, thus gravity is the correct answer.
