Answer:

Explanation:

you must be know the formula of potassium permaganate is KMnO₄

now you have already in question 2 things ,

1. the molarity of solution = 0.532 M

2. the mass of KMnO₄ = 2.99 g

the molarity law is M = moles of solute / volume (L)

so use this equation to calculate the volume in liter and convert the result to milliliter.

( if the mass unit is gram (g) = volume must be litter (L) and if the mass unit is milligram = volume must be milliliter (ml) )

** first you must use this equation to calculate how many moles do you have in KMnO₄

number of moles = mass (g) / molecular weight "MW" (g/mole )

now you have 2.99 g ( Mentioned in Question )

and you can calculate MW if you now the Chemical formula

so we have KMnO₄

Mw for KMnO₄ = 39 + 55 + 4x16 = 158 g/mole

**( K=39 , Mn=55 , O= 16 )

so number of moles = 2.99 / 158 = 0.018 = 0.02 moles

and if you go back to the molarity law :

Molarity = moles of solute / volume (L)

so 0.532 = 0.02 / volume (L)

Volume (L) = 0.532 x 0.02 = 0.01064 L

convert to ml = 0.01064 x 1000 = 10.64 ml

Good Luck

What happens to the rate of dissolution as the temperature is increased in a gas solution?
Nina [5.8K]

Answer:

The rate decreases

Explanation:

When we dissolve a gas in a water, the process is exothermic. This implies that heat is evolved upon dissolution of a gas in water.

Recall from Le Chateliers principle that for exothermic reactions, an increase in temperature favours the reverse reaction. The implication of these is that when the temperature of the gas is increased, less gas will dissolve in water.

Hence increase in temperature decreases the rate of solubility of a gas in water.

How many moles are in 272 grams of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) ?
Strike441 [17]

Answer:

8 moles

Explanation:

When we are asked to convert from grams of a substance into moles, we have to use the substance's molar mass.

Meaning that for this problem, we'll use the molar mass of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), as follows:

 • 272 g ÷ 34 g/mol = 8 mol

There are 8 moles in 272 grams of hydrogen peroxide.

When a compound such as X2Z4 is created, what would be the
correct simplified chemical formula?
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

XZ2

Explanation:

There are different ways in which compounds can be represented. Broadly, we have three different types of formula;

- Structural formular: This shows how th atoms in te compound are connected to each other.

- Molecular formular: This shows the actual number of atoms of element present in the compound

- Empirical Formular: This is the simplest formular of a compound. It basically shows the number of atoms in simple ration to each other.

This question requires us to input the empirical formular;

X2Z4

The ratio of the elements is; 2 : 4 which can be simplified into 1 : 2

This means the empirical formular is XZ2

What is the number of molecules of c2h5oh in a 3m solution that contains 4.00kg h2o?
Veronika [31]
The number of C2H5OH in a 3 m solution that contain 4.00kg H2O is calculate as below

M = moles of the solute/Kg of water

that is 3M = moles of solute/ 4 Kg
multiply both side by 4

moles of the solute is therefore = 12 moles

by use of Avogadro law constant

1 mole =6.02 x10^23 molecules

what about 12 moles

=12 moles/1 moles x 6.02 x10^23 = 7.224 x10^24 molecules
