Hey there!:

Gas chromatography (GC) is a type of chromatography used for separating compounds that can be vaporized without decomposition. The sample to be analyzed must be able to be vaporized in the system inlet.

So, the correct answer is A.

Hope this thelps!

What is the sequence in the formation of the Earth and the Universe?
Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

The Earth formed billions of years after the Universe formed

Explanation:

The "universe" is said to have been formed <em>billions of year ago</em> through an explosion. This was called the <em>"Big Bang Theory." </em>This lead to the<u> expansion of the universe</u> owing to its high temperature and density. After which, the universe cooled down. Galaxies and stars were then formed. Some of the stars died due to explosion, which then led to the <u>creation of planets</u>. Such formation of the planets happened around <u>4.5 billion years ago.</u> This is <em>9.3 billions of years later</em> than the universe was formed<em> (13.8 billions of years ago)</em>. So, this explains the answer.

How many grams of oxygen are required to react with 17.0 grams of octane (c8h18) in the combustion of octane in gasoline?
Keith_Richards [23]
The balanced equation for the combustion of octane is as follows
2C₈H₁₈ + 25O₂ ---> 16CO₂  + 18H₂O
stoichiometry of C₈H₁₈  to O₂ is 2:25
number of octane moles reacted - 17.0 g / 114.2 g/mol = 0.149 mol
according to molar ratio
if 2 mol of octane reacts with 25 mol of O₂
then 0.149 mol of octane reacts with - 25 /2 x 0.149 mol = 1.86 mol of O₂
 mass of O₂  - 1.86 mol x 32 g/mol = 59.5 g
59.5 g of O₂ is required to react with
