The mass of the copper cylinder is 177065.856g

Given:

Radius of the copper cylinder R=12cm

Height of the copper cylinder H=44cm

Density of the cylinder=8.90 \frac{g}{c m^{3}}

To find:

Mass of the copper cylinder

<u>Step by Step by explanation:</u>

Solution:

According to the formula, Mass can be calculated as

\rho=\frac{m}{v} and from this

m=\rho \times v

Where, m=mass of the cylinder

\rho =density of the cylinder

v=volume of the cylinder

And also cylinder is provided with radius and height value.

So volume of the cylinder is calculated as

v=\pi r^{2} h

Where \pi=3.14

r=radius of the cylinder=12cm

h=height of the cylinder=44cm

Thus, v=3.14 \times 12^{2} \times 44

v=3.14 \times 144 \times 44

v=19895.04 \mathrm{cm}^{3}

And we know that, m=\rho \times v

Substitute the known values in the above equation we get

m=8.90 \times 19895.04

m=177065.856g or 177.065kg

Result:

Thus the mass of the copper cylinder is 177065.856g

1(30%). A thin plate black body, insulated at the bottom is placed faced up in a room with wall temperatures of 30 C. Air at 0 C
ch4aika [34]

Explanation:

The given data is as follows.

         Heat transfer coefficient (h) = 12W/m^{2}.C

         Plate temperature (T_{1}) = 30 ^{o}C = 303 K

         Steady state temperature (T_{2}) = ?

Hence, formula applied for steady state is as follows.

       (h \times A \times \Delta T)_{air} = \sigma \times A \times (T^{4}_{1} - T^{4}_{2})_{plate}

Putting the given values into the above formula as follows.

       (h \times A \times \Delta T)_{air} = \sigma \times A \times (T^{4}_{1} - T^{4}_{2})_{plate}

        12 \times (T_{2} - 273) = 5.67 \times 10^{-8} \times [(30 + 273)^{4} - T^{4}_{2}]

                  T_{2} = 282.66 K

                              = (282.66 -273)^{o}C

                              = 9.66 ^{o}C

Thus, we can conclude that the steady state temperature will be 9.66 ^{o}C.

If the volume occupied by the gas molecules shown below were doubled, what would happen to the pressure they exert? (Assume cons
AnnZ [28]

there's no picture here but I guess the answer would be:

considering the constant temperature, if you double the volume, the pressure would be halved.

like: volume is 2, pressure is 4

if 2×2, then:4÷2

nekit [7.7K]
People who work with radioactive materials often wear a film badge to reveal how much radiation they have been exposed to. The film badge dosimeter or the film badge is a dosimeter worn by these people working with materials that are radioactive for the purpose of monitoring cumulative radiation dose due to ionizing radiation. The badge has two parts; the photographic film, and a holder.
