You are given a line is standard form, so to transform it to the slope-intercept form, you simply have to solve it for y, and you will have y=mx+b.

2y-3x=10  add 3x to both sides

2y=3x+10  divide both sides by 2

y=1.5x+5,  since y=mx+b, m=slope and b=y-intercept

slope=1.5 and the y-intercept is, technically the point, (0, 5)

In the inequality 1/ 2 x - 6 > 10, x represents Todd's age. Which phrase most accurately describes Todd's age? A) Todd is old
Tom [10]

Answer:

Option A) Todd is older than 32

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

\frac{1}{2}x-6>10

Solve for x

Adds 6 both sides

\frac{1}{2}x>10+6\\\\\frac{1}{2}x>16

Multiply by 2 both sides

x>32

so

Todd's age is greater than 32

therefore

Todd is older than 32

D -2, 4 is in the second quadrant because the -x brings it to the left side and the positive 4 puts it in the upper of the left side which is the second quadrant

Given that a = -1, b=2 and c= -3 ,find the value of a(b2+c2)
KiRa [710]

Answer:

a(b^{2}+c^{2}) = = -13

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a = -1, b=2 and c= -3

find the value of a(b^{2}+c^{2})

Just substitute the values given for each variable

a(b^{2}+c^{2}) = (-1)(2^{2}+(-3)^{2}) ; do the exponents first

a(b^{2}+c^{2}) = (-1)(4+9)=(-1)(13) ; now add inside the parenthesis;

a(b^{2}+c^{2}) = -13 ; and multiply by -1
