Mathematics

The problem can be represented by two equations:

The average of the two speeds are 260 km/hr.  ->   1/2(X + Y) = 260

Twice Malcom's speeds is 80 more than Ravi's speed -> 2X - Y = 80

where X = Malcom's maximum speed, Y = Ravi's maximum speed.

This is two equations in two unknowns:

1)X + Y = 520

2)2X - Y = 80

add equations 1 and 2

3X = 600

X = 200,

Plug X back into equation 1.

200 + Y = 520 -> Y = 320.

Malcom's maximum speed is 200 km/hr.

Ravi's maximum speed is 320 km/hr.

KatyDid Clothes has a $120 million (face value) 25-year bond issue selling for 103 percent of par that carries a coupon rate of
Oliga [24]

Answer:

8.704%

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the before cost of debt is as follows

Given that

Future value = $100

Present value = $103

NPER = 25 × 2 = 50

PMT = $100 × 9% ÷ 2 = $4.5

The formula is presented below:

= -RATE(NPER;PMT;PV;FV;TYPE)

After applying the above formula, the rate is 4.3518%

Yearly rate is

= 4.3518% ×2

= 8.704%

Solve for n. <br><br>0= 1+n
maks197457 [2]

Answer:

n = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

To make n on its own, you have to subtract 1 from both sides

0 - 1 = -1 + 1 + n

-1 + 1 = 0

-1 = n

adoni [48]

Answer:

The solution set is (5,6).

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equations are:

-6x + 6y= 6         Eqn 1

-6x + 3y=-12      Eqn 2

Subtracting Eqn 2 from Eqn 1

(-6x+6y)-(-6x+3y)= 6-(-12)

-6x+6y+6x-3y=6+12

3y = 18

Dividing both sides by 3

\frac{3y}{3}=\frac{18}{3}\\y=6

Putting y=6 in Eqn 1

-6x+6(6)=6

-6x+36=6

-6x=6-36

-6x=-30

\frac{-6x}{-6}=\frac{-30}{-6}\\x=5

Hence,

The solution set is (5,6).
