Explanation:

The ionic reaction of the copper and the silver ions is shown below:

Cu+2Ag^+\rightarrow Cu^{2+}+2Ag

Copper gives up 2 electrons and transfers to 2 silver ions which gives solid silver (reduction) and copper (II) ions.

The blue color of the solution is due to the formation of copper (II) ions. The electrons in the copper ion shows d-d transition which absorbs light in the visible region and shows blue color.

Equation for questions 1-4:
Karolina [17]

Answer:

5.625 moles of oxygen, O₂.

Explanation:

The balanced equation for the reaction is given below:

4Al + 3O₂ —> 2Al₂O₃

From the balanced equation above,

4 moles of Al reacted with 3 moles of O₂.

Finally, we shall determine the number of mole of O₂ required to react with 7.5 moles of aluminum, Al. This can be obtained as illustrated below:

From the balanced equation above,

4 moles of Al reacted with 3 moles of O₂.

Therefore, 7.5 moles of Al will react with = (7.5 × 3)/4 = 5.625 moles of O₂.

Thus, 5.625 moles of O₂ is needed for the reaction.

Answer:
<span>A geometric isomer with two alkyl groups on the same side of the carbon-carbon double bond is called <em>cis</em> Isomer.

Explanation:
Geometric isomerism takes place about the double bond in alkenes when the alkyl groups are either situated at the same side (<em>cis</em>) or are situated opposite (<em>trans</em>) to each other.

Example:
               <em>cis</em>-2-Butene (highlighted red)

               <em>trans</em>-2-Butene (highlighted blue)</span>
