So attached is the plotting of the triangle and I estimated it's area to be 7 squared units (OPTION C).

Note: in the graph i used colour codes to represent those partial squares that I used to counted as one and the gray squares are the naturally whole ones.

Hope this helps

Answer:

The required co-ordinate is (-2, -5).

Step-by-step explanation:

For a given point, reflection of a point (x, y) across a horizontal line y = k, the reflected co-ordinates will be: $ R_{y = k} = (x, 2k - y) $.

Here, (x, y) = (-2, 7) then reflection along the line y = 1, we get:

$ R_{y = 1} (-2, 7) = (-2, 2(1) - 7) $

= (-2, -5)

The reflected point is (-2, -5).

Answer:

It has the same domain as the function f(x)=-\sqrt{-x}

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

f(x)=\sqrt{-x}

we know that

The radicand cannot be a negative number

so

-x\geq 0

Solve for x

Multiply by -1 both sides

x\leq 0

The domain of the given function is the interval ----> (-∞,0]

All real numbers less than or equal to 0

The range of the given function is the interval ----> [0,∞)

All real numbers greater than or equal to zero

<u><em>Verify each statement</em></u>

Part 1) It has the same domain as the function f(x)=-\sqrt{-x}

<em>The statement is true</em>

The domain of the function f(x)=-\sqrt{-x} is

the interval ---> (-∞,0]

Part 2) It has the same range as the function f(x)=-\sqrt{-x}

The statement is false

The range of the function f(x)=-\sqrt{-x} is

the interval ---> (-∞,0]

Part 3) It has the same domain as the function f(x)=-\sqrt{x}

The statement is false

The domain of the function f(x)=-\sqrt{x} is

the interval ---> [0,∞)

Part 4) It has the same range as the function f(x)=-\sqrt{x}

The statement is false

The range of the function f(x)=-\sqrt{x} is

the interval ---> (-∞,0]
