To begin the government says that we have a democracy we are free to speak our minds and we are able to do the things that we feel like doing. However, when we begin to riot and protest because a black man was killed because his rights were being violated against bu a white police man they are quick to shoot rubber bullets at us. We dont have a democracy because the minute we say that we need better law enforcement we are critizized

Some problems are first off, not everyone votes. A democracy is where the people elect leaders, but if not everyone votes then the outcome isn’t necessarily everyone’s decision, just the voters. Also, we call ourselves a democracy when we actually are a democratic republic. The problem with this is that yes, we vote in elections, but the people we vote for are the ones making big decisions, not us.
