Answer: Cooling down after a workout is important because it stretches and relaxes the muscles after you've been exercising. It also lowers the amount of soreness you will feel after the workout. Cool downs are equally as important as warm ups. Cool downs can be as simple as light stretching to cool off your muscles after a vigorous exercise.
