Answer:

The age of the grinkgo tree is 10 years old and the age of the dogwood tree is 4 years old

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x -----> the age of the grinkgo tree

y -----> the age of the dogwood tree

z -----> the age of the blue spruce tree

we know that

x=3y-2 ------> equation A

z=8 ----> equation B

x=\frac{1}{2}(y+2z)

substitute the value of z

x=\frac{1}{2}(y+2(8))

x=\frac{1}{2}(y+16) -----> equation C

equate equation A and equation C and solve for y

3y-2=\frac{1}{2}(y+16)

6y-4=(y+16)

6y-y=16+4

5y=20

y=4

Find the value of x (equation A or equation C)

x=3(4)-2=10

therefore

The age of the grinkgo tree is 10 years old and the age of the dogwood tree is 4 years old

What is the least common denominator of the fraction 3 x over x plus 1 plus the fraction x plus 1 over 2 x plus the fraction 5 o
Hoochie [10]
3x/(x+1) + (x+1)/(2x) + (5/x)

To find the least common denominator, we multiply the denominators that cannot factor into eachother. x, the denominator in 5/x, fits into 2x, so we do not need to multiply this number.
Therefore, the least common denominator is:
2x(x+1)

The first term will be multiplied by 2x/2x
The second term will be multiplied by (x+1)/(x+1)
The third term will be multiplied by 2(x+1)

Which statement is correct?
Arisa [49]

Answer:

2.06 \times 10^-^2 = 206

1.88 \times 10^-^1 = 18.8

206 \times 18.8 = 3,872.8

7.69 \times 10^-^2 = 769

2.3 \times 10^-^5  = 230,000

=\frac{769}{230000}

= 0.00334

therefore,

3,872.80 > 0.00334

Step-by-step explanation:

Which statement is correct?

(2.06x102x1.88 x 10-1) <7.69x 10

2.3x10-5

(2.06 x 10-2)(1.88 x 10-1) 7.69x 10-

2.3x10-5

7.69 x 10"

(2.06 x 10-2x1.88x10-)>

2.3x10-5

(2.06x 10-2X(1.88x 10-1)-7.69x104

2.3x10-5

Given that;

2.06 \times 10^-^2 = 206

1.88 \times 10^-^1 = 18.8

206 \times 18.8 = 3,872.8

7.69 \times 10^-^2 = 769

2.3 \times 10^-^5  = 230,000

=\frac{769}{230000}

= 0.00334

therefore,

3,872.80 > 0.00334

Who knows this, Find m∠UTS, if m∠UTV=x+15, m∠VTS=140∘, and m∠UTS=15x+15
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

165

Step-by-step explanation:

First, m<UTS=m<UTV+m<VTS by Angle Addition Postulate.  Then, you substitute all the values that you provided for the angles.  15x+15=x+15+140.  You then solve for x.

15x+15=x+155

14x=140

x=10

You then plug back in 10 for X in the value of m<UTS.  15(10)+15=165
