It is given in the question that

Sam sells cars and earns 3.5% commission in sales. In one day he sold 3 of the same cars each for $21,500.

Selling price of  each car is $ 21,500. Therefore selling price of 3 cars is

3*21500= $64500

And Sam earns  3.5 % commission .

So to find the Sam's commission, we have to do

=0.035*64500=$2257.50

And the Sam's earning is $2257.50 .

According to a survey of adults, 64 percent have money in a bank savings account. If we were to survey 50 randomly selected adul
zheka24 [161]

Answer:

The mean number of adults who would have bank savings accounts is 32.

Step-by-step explanation:

For each adult surveyed, there are only two possible outcomes. Either they have bank savings accounts, or they do not. So we use the binomial probability distribution to solve this problem.

Binomial probability distribution

Probability of exactly x sucesses on n repeated trials, with p probability.

The expected value of the binomial distribution is:

E(X) = np

In this problem, we have that:

p = 0.64

If we were to survey 50 randomly selected adults, find the mean number of adults who would have bank savings accounts.

This is E(X) when n = 50.

So

E(X) = np = 50*0.64 = 32

The mean number of adults who would have bank savings accounts is 32.

When Colton commutes to work, the amount of time it takes him to arrive is normally distributed with a mean of 41 minutes and a
N76 [4]

Answer:

(34, 48)

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Empirical Rule, 95% of normally distributed data lie within two standard deviations of the mean.  That, in turn, means 95% of the data in this problem lie within 2(3.5 min), or 7 min, of the mean:

41 - 7 < mean < 41 + 7, or

34 < mean < 48, or simply (34, 48)
