The row of energy in a grassland ecosystem is shown
bixtya [17]

The populations with the trophic levels that receive the least amount of the total energy from the grass would be Hognose snakes and owls.

Trophic Level

The higher we move up a trophic level, the lower the amount of energy transferred from the previous levels.

More precisely put, only about 10% of the total energy available at one trophic level is transferred to the next while the rest is lost as heat to the surrounding.

In this case, Hognose snakes and owls represent the two highest trophic levels in the ecosystem. Thus, their populations would receive the lowest amount of energy from the producer, the grass.

When plants that are heterozygous for round seeds are crossed, what is the probability that the offspring will have wrinkled
Margarita [4]

If wrinkled seeds are dominant, it is a 75% chance, if round seeds are dominant, it is a 25% chance. In this case it's probably 25%, considering round seeds are emphasized.

How do the diffuse modulatory and point-to-point synaptic communication systems in the brain differ? list four ways?
Vesna [10]

Diffuse modulatory synapses or neuromodulation function different than simple point-to point synapses.

1. Number of postsynaptic neurons

In neuromodulation neuron uses one or more neurotransmitter to regulate several neurons. In Synaptic point-to-point transmission only one particular neuron receives signal from the presynaptic neuron.

2. Neurotransmitter sin neuromodulation (neuromodulators) are not reabsorbed broken down by the pre-synaptic neuron like those in classic synapse. Neuromodulators stay in cerebrospinal fluid.

3. Receptors are also different: the receptors for the neuromodulators are typically G-protein coupled receptors while in classical chemical neurotransmission, they are ligand-gated ion channels.

4. Neuromodulation is a slow process, while classic synaptic transmission occurs fast.
