How do skeletal and muscular systems work together to maintain homeostasis?

Chemistry

The muscular and skeletal systems work together to provide a structural framework for movement... The combined organ systems are sometimes called the musculoskeletal system... When you want to move, signals travel from your brain to your skeletal muscle cells. The muscle cells then contract, or get shorter. Tendons connect the muscles to the bones. As muscles contract, they pull on the tendons which move the bones. Skeletal muscles often work in pairs, as the biceps and triceps of the arm.

Which substance would have the highest melting point, based on electronegativity?
Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

H₂O

Explanation:

Based electronegativity, water H₂O will have the higher melting point from the given choices. The binding force between hydrogen and oxygen is greater than for the others.

  • In group 6, oxygen has the highest electronegativity.
  • It pulls the shared electron closer in the bond.
  • The high electronegativity between hydrogen and oxygen causes the elevated melting point between the two species.

: How much energy is required to heat an iron nail with a mass of 25.5 grams from 65°C until it becomes red hot at 720°C?
Evgen [1.6K]

Q = mct

-Q= energy in Joules

-m = mass in grams

-c= specific heat capacity in J/g degree C

-t = delta temperature in degrees Celsius

So,

Q = m c t

Q = (7 grams)(0.448J/g C)(750 C - 25 C)

Q = 2273.6 J

Your final answer = 2273.6 Joules
