Answer:

The answer to your question is:  22 apples and 12 bananas

Step-by-step explanation:

a = apples

b = bananas

                     165a + 120b = 5070

                       3a + 2b = 90

Solve by elimination

                 -60(3a + 2b = 90)

                -180 a - 120b = -5400

                 165a + 120b = 5070

                  -15 a      0    = -330

                        a = -330 / -15

                         a = 22

                  3(22) + 2b = 90

                  66 + 2b = 90

                  2b = 90 -66

                   2b = 24

                   b = 24/2

                   b = 12

Answer:

<h2>8 units²</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Let side of the square = a

The , Area of square = a²

Now, Midpoint of Diagonal DB is E

And DE = 2 units

So, DB = 2 DE = 2 × 2 = 4 units

Now, using Pythagoras theorem in ∆ BCD

DB² = DC² + BC²

plug the values

{4}^{2}  =  {a}^{2}  +  {a}^{2}

Collect like terms

{4}^{2}  = 2 {a}^{2}

Evaluate the power

16 = 2 {a}^{2}

Swipe the side of the equation

2 {a}^{2}  = 16

Divide both sides of the equation by 2

\frac{2 {a}^{2} }{ 2 }  =  \frac{16}{2}

Calculate

{a}^{2}  = 8

Therefore, The area of the square is 8 sq.units.

Hope this helps..

Best regards!!

The sides of a triangle are (x+5), and (x+8) units. Find the value of x if the perimeter of the triangle is 106 units.
lutik1710 [3]
106=x+x+5+x+8

106=3x+13

3x=93

x=31

(the sides are 31, 36, 39 respectively)
