What will happen if a car experiences a 300 N force to the right from the engine and a separate 150 N force due to friction and
gayaneshka [121]

Force applied on the car due to engine is given as

F_1 = 300 N towards right

Also there is a force on the car towards left due to air drag

F_2 = 150 N towards left

now the net force on the car will be given as

\vec F_{net} = \vec F_1 + \vec F_2

now we can say that since the two forces are here opposite in direction so here the vector sum of two forces will be the algebraic difference of the two forces.

So we can say

F_{net} = F_1 - F_2

F_{net} = 300 - 150

F_[net} = 150 N

So here net force on the car will be 150 N towards right and hence it will accelerate due to same force.

What would be a good geographic location for a hydroelectric power plant?
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

C. An area with a large river and significant elevation changes

Explanation:

"The best location for a hydroelectric station should be along the path of a river. It should be at least at the river canyon or at the place where the river narrows. This enables the collection of the water or the diversion of the river."

Hope this helps

For a birthday gift, you and some friends take a hot-air balloon ride. One friend is late, so the balloon floats a couple of fee
LuckyWell [14K]

Answer:60 kg

Explanation:

Given

mass of people =1140 kg

and balloon is neutral when 1140 kg is loaded in the balloon .

when another person come balloon started descending at the rate of 0.49 m/s^2

For initial condition

F_b=mg

F_b=1140\times 9.8=11.172 KN

For second case

(1140+m)\times 9.8-F_b=(1140+m)\times 0.49

(1140+m)\times (9.8-0.49)=11.172 \times 10^3

1140+m=1200

m=60 kg
